thanks man all these vids are thorough and understandable. You're a great teacher.
Thank you! Trying out here
hello
Of course I had to come across your video which will make me fall for this plugin
Portal or fractals is a great alternative if you have it D:
its a treasure
This was a good one!! Thx!!
ringmod the top end in fact, ringmod every top end sound sounds 100% better evertime!
19:20 I think this idea is similar to pushing a sub together with a high pitched sine (resonant peak) through a distortion so that they interact. So in this patch you would have to send a separate sub to fx lane 2 and add a distortion or shaper to the summed signal. In my experience it doesn't sound great when the resonant peak is moving though. Something to keep in mind is that the relative "input" volumes change the sound a lot.
I believe a little different than using the harmonic series (I’ve seen Nik’s video and discussed it on this channel many times) because of the relationship change when those two interact. It produces a different timbre than what I’m describing. That being said, it’s still an element easy to get some sick Sounds I don’t quite know how to describe what I’m talking about but I will let everyone know when I figure it out. Spot on with the input volume too^^
Nice!
Ooo! Thanks for sharing Bloom!
Wow Alckemy this is another awesome video I love it. Big up dude.👊
bro do you ever actually watch or do you just leave this same comment on every alck video when they get posted or what 😂
@@ennayanneit’s engagement, I don’t complain. Hardly anyone leaves comments
When expanding the keyboad onmy iPhone than I can't see the browser screen
It’s a tiny screen. You’ll have to alternate
Awesome
is there a way or workaround to randomize the sequencer?
There’s a random button but unfortunately it isn’t tied to a cc button
@@Alckemy i dont need a cc midi controller for it, where is this random button? you sure it will play the sequence in a random order? or just randomize the patterns?
@@matrixmodulator it’ll randomize the patterns. It’s in the pattern editor. You can also randomize the sequencer
@@Alckemy it will play steps in a random order? where is the button for that?
at 41:31 How did you make that bass? Is that a fart pitched down?
Watch the entire video- I make it all I. This video^
Send this to ableton bros
I’m not out to take anything away from the live folk. It’s a great program. I just… outgrew it
hi! would you share something about the processing used at 2:19 ?
Wellll it’s a lot lol. I’d recommend Chee’s masterclass on online.iomusic.academy/p/how-i-produce-with-chee or hit up @kageidk for lessons^^
This is excellent!
this is so dope.
I like folks who know what they are doing and live on the edge of new creation ….I think you are that sort of individual..and an articulate one.🙏🙏🏿👍
To answer your question "who watches my videos?" I'm a long time lurker here and there. I have a bachelors in sound engineering from 15 years ago and stopped working in the industry 10 years ago. I've had a long break from the time and effort I used to put into production. I'm hoping to do exactly what the title says. I would get bogged down with engineering the bejesus out of everything taking away time to actually enjoy the creative side of things. My uncle bought me Amen brother on vinyl a few years back. Crazy how much I've forgotten but I've got it chopped and @ 174bpm. let's see what happens, no pressure. I put too much of that on myself before because "I should have more end product". Great content thanks!
Watch this in 1.75 speed
Let people learn at their own pace
The irony of it all. 1986 Humans create the drum machine due to the fact that drummers are notoriously bad at their craft and could not reliably be counted on. 2024 Humans create software to take the computer out of the drum machine to make it sound like a drunk drummer half laying on his hat while playing. If you can call it playing that is, lol! I mean come on, the poor drummer has a 73.6539578% chance of even hitting the thing! J/K great work as always. I do truly appreciate the work you put into the channel and teach cool new stuff. From the posts below it would appear it is close to your birthday. Happy Birthday! *throws dart at calendar*
Just stopped at best buy and they have no idea and they wont let me install bitwig right, do i need an interface for audio on macs, also bluetooth does work and not just on like airpods?
I would sell my shirrrr for the macbook but idk if i would be out of luck if u know wim
Not sure what you're trying to say, or what Best Buy has to do with anything.
16:55 it’s okay, ill do it myself
There’s always that guy 😅
Hey Alckemy, did you remove the video you did on side chaining within Bitwig? I was following it the other day and wanted to go through it once more, but I can't find it. All good either way, I'm just curious.
Yes I did; I didn’t realize that it causes noticeable latency which defeats the purpose of vid. So what I do now is use a replacer on a kick/snare group and have it trigger a segments. The segments goes to the volume of a tool so you get midi side chaining without having to do any extra steps
@@Alckemy Oh okay that makes sense. How do you get the replacer to trigger the segments? Do you put the segments modulator on the replacer or on the sound you're trying to side chain?
@@funkybrewer6298 use a note receiver on your sidechain group^^
@@Alckemy Okay got it! I appreciate the assistance!
How do you do multitimbral stuff on the ipad? Do you need some kind of daw or are these synth apps multitimbral?
Do you mean polyphonic? They usually have a keyboard at the bottom of a synth. Or you can use a midi keyboard, or use a groove box/daw
@@Alckemy no, polyphonic means you can play more than one note at a time (ie a chord). Whereas multitimbral means you can play two voices at a time (ie layer two or more sounds like strings and piano).
@@MarianoPerez butter synth lets you have several different voices playing at once; DRambo lets you create instrument layers like you would in bitwig or ableton^
Two separate screens, 25-27", on monitor arms, bliss❤, just to have both views always there, a third screen on top of those to display metering plugins isnln the works 😉✌️
There NO hotkey for the Big EDIT window..🤦♂️ Deal-breaker for me
Big edit?
Man I was interested in Bloom, and after your recent stream I checked it out. When I realized how cheap it was I went ahead and bought it, having a ton of fun with it! The results from this video are really sick though, definitely a solid workflow.
It’s pretty sick and fun to work with
6:30 how dare u
🥴
6 years...6 years of producing and I never figured out this. Literally changing the way I write forever. Glad I came across this.
Happens to me too
Cool stuff my man 🤙
Thanks g
its happening dude! Metroid Prime 4 Beyond (2025) !!!
That sounds crazy around 16 mins
Wow Alckemy this is another awesome video I love it. Big up dude.👊
Heyja, the Plugin Harmony Bloom reminds a little bit on my Bloom-Seq. Modul from Qu-bit ! Fraktal Sequencing very keewl - also stochastic Sequencing ! Cheers from Germany
As someone who uses bitwig but not phaseplant. Thanks, this series is gonna be rad.
Coming from Ableton i get frustrated and quit 😂. I couldn't get my kick to copy paste to the grind in a simple 4/4. It was out of time. And i couldn't get a sub sample to warp. I just moved everything to Ableton. I will learn the bitwig magic at some point
Surprising to hear tbh but I have all those answers in very simple steps when you’re ready to come back:)
